The Book of Nehemiah Sermon Series “Rebuilding the Ruins”
On August 28, 587 BC Nebuchadnezzar, the great Babylonian king, torched the city’s temple and destroyed Jerusalem’s wall. The temple was rebuilt and dedicated in 515 BC. But what happened to the city’s wall? For the next 142 years Jerusalem’s wall was in ruins. Who would step up to resurrect the rubble? Who would restore Jerusalem to its former glory? God had such a man. His name? Nehemiah. Nehemiah mapped out a strategic plan, exercised personal commitment and had a profound ability to adapt as circumstances and people changed. Nehemiah was intent upon rebuilding the ruins!
What is ruined in your life? What looks like a pile of worthless rubble? Is it a relationship? Your career? Maybe it’s your zest for life. Then the book of Nehemiah is for you! We will launch into our glorious fall ministry season with these sermons: September 5 - Introducing Nehemiah
